<\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/B><\/FONT>This exhibition will take place<\/SPAN> at the <\/SPAN>Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts in Amman<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> from 25th November 2014 to 19th January 2015.

<\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/EM>\u201cThe Heritage of Art<\/EM><\/SPAN><\/B>. <\/SPAN><\/B>Mimmo Paladino, Mohanna Durra\u201d <\/EM><\/SPAN><\/B>compares a well known Italian artist with a prominent Jordanian artist<\/SPAN><\/B>, together with three respective followers.

<\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/FONT>The exhibition has two purposes. The first one is to provide a snapshot of contemporary Italian and Jordanian art<\/SPAN><\/B> by associating two major artists \u2013\u00a0who have both been closely linked to some of the fundamental phases of the international art scene since the 1970s \u2013 with the current generation of artists who are charting a new constellation that is aligned with the latest global trends.

<\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/FONT>The second purpose is to analyse some of the linguistic and conceptual approaches shared by the masters and their followers<\/SPAN><\/B>, with a view to understanding the analogies and intellectual legacies that these important \u201cart figures\u201d have left in their wake and which have been picked up, interiorised and re-worked by the following generations.

<\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/FONT>\u201cThe Heritage of Art\u201d<\/EM><\/SPAN><\/B> will endeavour to weave together the complex network of connections and cross-references between different modes of experiencing contemporary art<\/SPAN><\/B> from different generational perspectives, and in the process will implement another excellent cultural exchange between Italy<\/st1:country-region> and Jordan<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>.

<\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/FONT>The exhibition is <\/SPAN><\/B>conceived<\/SPAN><\/B> and realized by IGAV – Istituto Garuzzo per le Arti Visive (The Garuzzo Institute for Visual Arts) with the Italian Embassy in Amman to celebrate the <\/SPAN><\/B>Semester of Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union,<\/SPAN><\/B> <\/SPAN>in cooperation with the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, where it will take place.<\/SPAN><\/B> The exhibition will feature works by the two masters Mimmo Paladino and Mohanna Durra alongside works by their followers. <\/SPAN>For the Italian section: Pasquale Palmieri, Lucio Perone, Peppe Perone. <\/SPAN>For the Jordanian section: <\/SPAN>Tawfiq Al Sayed,<\/SPAN> <\/EM><\/SPAN>Nabil Shehadeh e Omar Hamdan.

<\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/FONT>The selection of the followers has been carried out by Mimmo Paladino for the Italian section, curated by Angela Tecce, and Mohanna Durra for the Jordanian section, curated by Khalid Khreis.
