Please be informed that from 8:00 PM on 12 February 2026 until 2:00 AM on 18 February 2026, the VIS operating system will undergo a temporary shutdown.
This is a scheduled and urgent technical intervention that will result in the temporary suspension of activities related to the reception and processing of visa applications, as well as the issuance of entry visas.
This suspension will affect the operations of both the Visa Office of the Italian Embassy in Amman and the centre managed by the outsourcing company VFS Global.
In order to minimize inconvenience to applicants, previously scheduled appointments will be rescheduled to the days immediately before or after the affected period, giving due consideration to priority needs and urgent cases.
