Opening of the training course on mortar preparation and grouting upon medieval and archaeological artifacts -Madaba, 9-20 November 2014.

The training course on mortar preparation and grouting upon medieval and archaeological artifacts was launched this morning in Madaba.
This training course is the second edition of a similar initiative held in Irbid, northern Jordan, between September 29 and October 11, 2013. Both initiatives have been designed and implemented in cooperation between the General Secretariat of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Activities and the Department of Antiquities of Jordan.
The course consists of theoretical and practical training on mortars and on the use of them in the restoration of ancient and medieval buildings, aimed at strengthening the skills of Jordanian technicians in one of the most important sectors of the immense cultural heritage of the Country.
