The World Week of Italian Cuisine reaches its second edition with the aim of promoting Italian culinary traditions as a distinctive trait of Italian identity and culture.
The second edition of the Week will take place from 20 to 25 November 2017 under the sign of: quality, sustainability, culture, food security, the right to food, education, identity, territory and biodiversity.
Another objective of the Week is to enhance the Mediterranean Diet, one of the elements that Italy shares with countries in the region.
Crucial are also the activities aimed at internationalising the training programs offered in this sector, to attracting talents from abroad and to strengthen customer retention for high-quality Italian products.
Within the World Week of Italian Cuisine in Jordan, the Italian Pizza Weekend will be organized in collaboration with JIFCO – Jordanian Italian Forum for Cooperation.
JIFCO will propose to pizzerias, which have already selected through a market survey, to join the “Italian Pizza Weekend” by subscribing to the regulations for Method of Production (“Disciplinare”).
The list of affiliated pizzerias will be published on the web information material of the Week of Italian Cuisine by JIFCO and the Italian Embassy in Amman.
The affiliated pizzerias will be provided by sticks with the logo of “Italian Pizza Weekend in Jordan”.
T-shirts with the logo “Italian Legacy in Jordan” will also be provided: during the Weekend, pizzaioli and chefs will wear T-shirts, showing the features of “real Italian pizza” to customers and post photos on their social. The best photos will be collected to be posted also by the Embassy.
