Italian Courses for foreigners to open soon at the Dante Alighieri Society of Amman

The Dante Alighieri Society – Amman Branch, announces that the registration for the summer session is open:

The Italian language class for foreigners starts on 23rd of June 2014. Courses include the following levels referred to ECFR: A1, A2, B1, and B2 (from beginners to upper intermediate). Placement Test is on June 21st from 5 to 7 pm. Courses for teenagers (groups from 11 to 13 and 14 to 17 years old).

The Amman branch of Società Dante Alighieri has been established in 2004 aiming to provide a meeting place for cultural exchange between Jordan and Italy.

The teaching activity of our center ranges from Italian language courses for foreigners to language and culture for children (Jordanian and from Italian origin), from Arabic for foreigners to cooking classes. Cultural events include: Film seasons, conferences and lectures, concerts and amateur theater “Italian at theater”.

Dante Alighieri is the official center for the proficiency test in Italian language PLIDA, which facilitates the enrollment at the University in Italy. (www.plida.it)

SDA fruitfully cooperates with the Cultural office of the Italian Embassy in the yearly celebration of the Italian Language Week in the world, promoting the teaching of Italian in Jordan, the study-in-Italy programs and courses for Italian expatriates children.

SDA Library offers 1500 books and 140 DVD. Through the project “La Banca del Libro” it is possible to share books among members and students of the center.
The caffetteria (about to open), will be a place for socializing in Italian sipping a real Italian Expresso.

Dante Amman is a member of Eunic Jordan cluster (European Union of National Institues for Culture).
